Compact Footprint: Most play couches require 5.5 feet of wall space. The Luna Lounger requires less than 2.5 feet.
True Chair Ergonomics: Because the height (28") exceeds the depth (26"), it offers real lumbar and head support for kids.
Aesthetic Symmetry: Since 26" x 26" is a common size for large floor poufs or accent chairs, it fits seamlessly with other home furnishings.

GOTS-certified organic cotton canvas
9oz heavy cotton canvas — more environmentally-friendly, durable, and grip-friendly for fort building than the synthetic alternatives.
CertiPUR-US foam
Density-tested for the exact balance — light enough for kids to move on their own, sturdy enough for an adult to sit comfortably. No off-gassing. No heavy metals. Holds its shape over time.
High-end upholstery printing
The same printing process found on premium upholstered furniture — not screen printing. Color is embedded in the cotton. It won’t crack, peel, or fade with washing or use.
YKK zippers + dual-layer protection
A custom inner liner on every piece protects against spills and makes the cover easy to remove. YKK zippers throughout — the same hardware found in quality outerwear and bags.
ORIGINAL DESIGN
Beauty isn’t wasted on children. They notice everything.
We commissioned original artwork from a local Southwestern artist — bold, vibrant watercolor designs inspired by the desert meeting the Pacific. We didn’t pull these from a catalog. We sat with an artist and built a vision from scratch, because the thing your children touch and build with every day deserved that kind of attention.
Four colorways — Sea, Sunset, Desert, Onyx — each printed with a high-end upholstery process. The color is embedded in the cotton so it won’t crack or fade.

Why we called it Ad Astra
We’re Joshua and Amanda — a husband-and-wife team from Southern California, and parents of four. We built this because we needed it and couldn’t find it anywhere.
Ad Astra. To the stars through adversity.
We believe the spaces children grow up in matter. We believe beauty is not wasted on them. We believe in giving them the right tools and then stepping back — letting them build something we couldn’t have imagined.
That’s what the Luna Lounger is. A considered thing, placed in their world with intention. What they do with it is entirely theirs.
